The Adult Community Mental Health Services in Great Yarmouth and Waveney is a health and social care community team providing assessment, treatment and support for people over the age of 25 who are experiencing mental health issues. The Adult Community Mental Health Services in Great Yarmouth and Waveney follows the principles of recovery and social inclusion and works closely with partner agencies both voluntary and statutory. Autism Diagnostic Service Suffolk
Our Autism Diagnostic Service provides assessments to identify if a person has autism or not. We have a youth team who provide assessments for young people between the ages of 11 and 18. We have an adult team who provide assessments for those aged 18 and over. If we diagnose somebody with autism, we offer advice and short term limited support to help them, and their family, to understand their diagnosis. Our team will explore ways that might help manage difficulties or challenges faced at home, work or in education.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) - Norfolk
Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provide care pathways for children and young people in Norfolk with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. This is for children 14 years of age and under. CAMHS provide a range of therapeutic interventions. This includes art therapy, systemic family therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and play therapy. The service hosts a Looked After Children's team and a neurodevelopmental pathway for those with complex developmental disorders.

Community Memory Assessment Service in East Suffolk
Many people experience problems with declining memory. The effects will vary from person to person and may occur for different reasons. The Community Memory Assessment Service (CMAS) is for people of any age who live in East Suffolk and have been referred by their GP due to concerns about their memory. The primary aim is to confirm or exclude a diagnosis of dementia.

Dementia Intensive Support Team - East (DISTE) in Suffolk
DISTE is a specialist dementia service in east Suffolk. The service works with people with dementia (or suspected dementia) and their families in the event of a dementia related crisis, to avoid acute hospital admission. Such a crisis may involve either a recent change in behaviour that is cause for concern, or carers needing more support to manage their caring role to prevent care breakdown. Either situation may otherwise result in an unnecessary hospital admission.

Dementia Intensive Support Team (DIST) – West Suffolk
The team responds urgently and works intensively for short periods with people who have dementia and their carers, where situations are breaking down within their home environment or wherever they live, and there are significant risks to either themselves or others due to behavioural and psychological symptoms of their Dementia. The team has a role in preventing unnecessary admissions to hospital in these circumstances and premature moves into long term care. Their aim is to stabilise situations to enable people to continue living in their own homes and maintain as much independence as possible. The team also aims to support carers to be more confident in their caring role alongside this.

Early Intervention in Psychosis (Suffolk)
The Early Intervention in Psychosis Service supports people between the ages of 14 and 65 in Suffolk who are experiencing symptoms of a first episode of psychosis. This service supports people for up to a three-year period and provides intervention to reduce the impact of the symptoms and support social recovery. The Early Intervention in Psychosis Service aims to help people who use the service, and their family, to understand more about the symptoms of psychosis and what treatments are available.
